Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Plain Weave is the most commonly used weave. Each warp wire crosses alternately above and below each weft wire. Warp and weft wires generally have the same diameter. Plain woven wire cloth in brass and other metals is also available.
Stainless Steel Wire Mesh and Wire Cloth Twill Weave can be used to allow a heavier than standard wire diameters. Each weft wire passes alternately over two, and then under two successive warp wires and each warp wire passes alternately over two and under two successive weft wires. Twill woven wire cloth in brass and other metals is also available.
Dutch Twill Woven Wire Cloth offers higher strength than regular Dutch woven wire cloth. It packs even more wires in a given area than Dutch plain woven wire cloth. Generally, Dutch Twill Woven Wire Cloth offers finer mesh counts and lower flow than other Dutch Woven Wire Cloth and can be made to filter particles as fine as 2 microns in diameter. Available in stainless steel, alloy, brass and other metals.

Mesh Count is identified as the distance from center to center of the parallel wires horizontally and vertically.
Space Cloth This material is measured by the actual open space between parallel wires, known as clear opening, space size, or open area.
Two Numbers (Example: 2 x 2 ) Mesh Count is identified by the number of actual openings per linear inch horizontally and vertically.
